Yahoo! News - U.S. Transfers Sovereignty to Iraqi Govt.
I believe this is good news and much needed to news to force NATO to send troops to assist. NATO is somewhat obligated to support Iraq when the request comes from a sovereign state.
However, I am sure there will be criticism from the left about the surprise timing; but, they would criticism Bush for waiting till the last minute or if they missed the 30 June date. I am listening to CNN (Lib Left) and they are talking about the moral of the solders and that the majority of solders feel that they are their for the right reason (the liberal media hates to hear this as does Michael Moore - I do hope he Moore help identify those few treasonous military members to there fellow brothers in arms, but he did give them their fifteen minutes of fame even if they did have to sell their soul).

Writing for writing: Michael Moore
Writing for writing: Michael Moore
The above link is to one of our fellow bloggers thoughts about the new Michael Moore movie. I believe anyone who has visited this sight and read earlier post knows my view. But if not below is a comment I posted in response (you should read the orginal since my comments might not make sense)
To start off I might warn you that you may want to get read of this comment prior to reading it. I am not a Moore fan and in fact despise the way he uses half truths and some lies to get his point across.
As for the film I have not seen it nor do I plan to see it; however I would suggest you visit this web site for rebuttal from one that has seen it. Visit Slate review
As for the Military; I am retired and I am not looser, which is what your words suggest Michael Moore has implied. In fact to drown this theory I can tell you that I attended three (3) years of college prior to ENLISTING (was not an officer) and that college was paid for my by parents. See I volunteered for the military and to serve my country because I wanted to. There are many more just like me; if fact on of my favorite First Sergeants (E-7 and is enlisted) received his Masters Degree via the military; however, choose to stay another fifteen years before starting his own company in civilian life. I can regurgitate many stories like this and I can also assure you that if the ARMY would have us we would all return to serve our Country.
I have not even mentioned officers many of who got an education you would envy. See West Point provides one of the top educations in the country and yes I was offered and accepted classes there at another fine institution the Air Force Academy. Further, the military paid for my classes at Northwestern University (another school many would envy a diploma). However, the best education I got was the Military way of life itself.
See if you do go to link and see the lies that were told during the movie about Bush, the Saudis, and other 9/11 events; then listen to me and what I know about the soldiers who are not looser and who a majority are there by choice not be need you see that Moore is a big fat bag of lies.. I could not speak for the entertainment value since he has been quoted in saying that he made the movie “for movie sake” and not primarily to “get Bush”; if you believe that. Me I choose not the believe anything the man has to say!
You are welcome to visit my new blog (Woody's Blog) and make any comments you want. If I have offended I truly apologize since my intent was to educate and I am new to the whole blogging concept since it seems by comments in your post I am much older than you.

Yahoo! News - beheading Fuel Backlash Against Muslims
Yahoo! News - beheading Fuel Backlash Against Muslims
I feel for Muslims in this country; however, I also feel for Americans in IRAQ!
We see stories that show how all races are outraged by the "US Army Prison Abuse". The Islamic community point out our flaws as a nation in dealing with their people.
BUT, where is the out cry when Americans and Koreans are beheaded on Prime Time. In my current situation I am able to watch cable news and read the internet for hours and I have yet to see any Muslim American organization come out and publicly rebuke their "Islamic Brothers". This silence fuels these racist outbursts - if you truly believe the beheadings are an outrage than speak up and make sure your views are covered nationally and heard.
All Americans should be outraged no matter their ethnic background and until people start seeing this type of "NATIONAL" outcry I fear racist sentiment will continue to grow and become uglier by the minute.

Michael Moore
I have a real problem with Michael Moore’s movie Fahrenheit 9/11! Moore use half truths and simple out and out lies to promote his Anti-America stance.
Moore in 2002 was against the Afghan invasion and now he seems to believe we did not send enough troops in and is against the war in Iraq. Moore will do and say anything to discredit Bush and America. I am not as eloquent as Christopher Hitchens; see his comments on Slate.
I and many others served this country to give Mr. Moore’s rights to speak his opinion; however, I put his movie in the treasonous region of Ms. Fonda’s and Senator John Kerry’s anti-Vietnam actions.
