Veterans Can't Have a Cross
Bennigton Banner's Chris Parker has a story about the Vermont Veterans Home having to remove a cross after "trustees decided it is illegal at a state-owned facility". How dare the Veterans Home to have a wooden cross, strung with patriotically colored lights made by residents and employees of the home to honor the local Vermont Guard troops who left last month for a tour in the Middle East...How dare them! The director of the veterans home received several calls from upset about the cross being deemed inappropriate - do these citizens know what they think matters not, unless they are a judge!
