Alert – Terrorism is Simply a Nuisance

In an interview with New York Times Magazine John Kerry compares terrorism to prostitution, gambling, and organized crime. Yes, Mr. Kerry these are criminal activities but have any claimed 3,000 American lives in a matter of minutes? This is simply ludicrous and an example of the John Kerry’s lack of understanding the situation.

Kerry states that September 11, 2001 “didn’t change me much at all” and that we need to return to the days when terrorism was “just a nuisance”.

Kerry quote:
As a former law-enforcement person, I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise -- it isn't threatening people's lives every day, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the fabric of your life.
John Kerry flip-flop:
Mr. Kerry didn’t you say “I will win the War on Terror” aren’t you saying here we can’t (see above)?

We do need a multifaceted war on terror but that war cannot be done by handling things as a police matter on a case by case basis. We need to carefully pick our targets based on GOOD intelligence and go where we need to in order to defend our country. Yes we also need diplomacy. Iran and North Korea are two examples of this and when people point to them and say they are more dangerous than Iraq that is true. However, there were not over 14 resolutions out there in the last 12 years for either country as there was in Iraq.
